So I’ve planning to make a game using UDK for a while now. Nothing serious, just one of those “one day I want to write a book” type things. Anyway; I’ve been thinking about the main character (‘Nell’ perhaps) and looking for facial reference for when I make the character model. I didn’t have much luck for weeks, until I found this: http://thebeautymodel.tumblr.com/post/14970846838 which was kind of almost in the ballpark of what I wanted. So I took it into photoshop and changed the shape of the face, tweaked the skin tone, pinked out the eyes and made the lips a lot brighter. I’m fairly happy with it, it’s a little more ‘Rihanna’ than the original, which might be the a good direction to go in.
I have a slight obsession with originality (or more specifically, my inability to have it). So I’ve been forcing myself to come up with slightly more original ideas. These are some character designs I did in Alchemy using Style: Solid Shapes, 75% opacity and the Mirror Affect. It’s a lot of fun to sketch in, you can just scribble and then try to see shapes in the scribbles to make characters out of.
This is a hoodie I made for the Scout in TF2, you can vote for it on the Steam Workshop, here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=6883
Some gameplay of the Team Fortress 2 weapon I made. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=6397
A weapon I made for TF2 Workshop, the community votes on which new items get put in the game. Funfunfun. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=6397
